The Rime of the Ancient Mariner recounts the experiences of a sailor who commits the heinous crime of killing innocent Albatross and undergoes unutterable agony on his sea voyage. In this current unsteady and nightmarish situation, the poem has been rightly acclaimed as a 'modern fable'. With the dramatic disruption due to coronavirus, the poem is having a new meaning and purpose.
